Butters gay camp
The main plot deals with Eric Cartman 's efforts to recover an incriminating photograph that may call his sexual orientation into question, whereas the subplot, which focuses on Butters Stotch, explores childhood gay conversion therapy.
Never ones to shy away from the most harrowing of subject matter, this season eleven episode saw Matt Stone and Trey Parker take aim at gay conversion camps and pulled no punches in showing just how abhorrent these places actually are. After being tricked into a compromising position by Cartman, Butters is shipped away to Camp New Grace, a facility designed to help its prisoners to 'pray the gay away'. We're immediately shown the damaging effects of such a place, with its highly traumatised inmates being prone to suicide and self-harm in order to repress their true selves.

Cartman takes a photo with Butters' penis in his mouth to prove Butters is gay. He later finds out what the picture really means and freaks out when the photo disappears. Meanwhile, Butters has to go to a special camp to calm his urges.

Cartman invites Butters over for the night, so he can do something horrible to Butters and take a picture. To calm himself down, he says Butters is bi-curious. Cartman gets scared when Kyle says the only people who will know are them… and all the people they tell.
Butters is soon sent away to Camp New Grace on the advice of Priest Maxi where they "pray away the gay" by putting bi-curious boys together and teaching them about the ways of Jesus Christ.
